To reduce weight without compromising strength, these bars are hollow. Each bar is precision CNC-bent from a single piece of bar stock, eliminating welds and significantly reducing the risk of failure compared to traditional manufacturing methods. The bar ends are forged into shape and then quench-hardened in specialized fixtures to achieve the highest strength profile possible, and then dimensionally confirmed in final check fixtures. Lastly, each sway bar is coated with a corrosion-resistant red powder coat, offering both durability and a sleek appearance.\n\nOn this particular model, we’ve increased the bar diameter to 25 mm, with a 5 mm wall thickness, an upgrade from the factory’s 22.2x4.3 mm (MK8 R\/8Y RS3) size.
