The MMX Performance BMW F97 X3M / F98 X4M Lowering Spring Kit is engineered to reduce ride height while improving the stance, handling response, and chassis balance of BMW's S58-powered performance SUVs. Developed specifically for the F97 X3M and F98 X4M, the spring kit provides an approximate 30mm reduction in ride height at the front and rear while retaining compatibility with the factory damper system.
Lowering the vehicle's center of gravity helps reduce body movement during cornering and provides a more direct response during turn-in and directional changes. The revised ride height also reduces the factory wheel gap and creates a more level front-to-rear stance, giving the X3M and X4M a more purposeful appearance without an excessive drop.
MMX developed the spring rates to complement the chassis characteristics of the F97 and F98 platforms rather than focusing solely on ride-height reduction. The springs are compatible with factory static and electronically controlled dynamic dampers, allowing the original damping system to remain in place while providing the benefits of a lower ride height and revised spring setup.
Each spring is finished with a durable powder-coated surface for corrosion resistance and long-term protection in year-round driving conditions. The kit installs in place of the factory springs and requires no permanent modification to the vehicle.
