AutoTecknic's Replacement Dry Carbon Grille Surround Set for the BMW F87 M2 and F22 2-Series replaces the factory chrome grille surrounds with OEM-matched pre-preg dry carbon fiber units. Manufactured using an autoclave vacuum process that eliminates air pockets and pinholes, the surrounds achieve the same structural integrity and surface quality as motorsport components. Each surround retains the original mounting clips and tabs for a direct bolt-on fit with no modification required.

Wet-layup aftermarket carbon parts use a resin-heavy process that adds weight and produces inconsistent surface clarity across production runs. AutoTecknic's pre-preg dry carbon construction uses pre-impregnated fiber sheets cured under controlled pressure, producing a lighter, stronger surround with a consistent 2x2 twill weave pattern and gloss clearcoat finish. The BMW F87 M2 and F22 2-Series retain their OEM grille slats; only the chrome surround frames are replaced.
