Fits 2022-2026 Volkswagen Golf R (MK8 & MK8.5)

Overview

The Golf R has the power and the AWD grip. What it gives up from the factory is body control. APR Roll-Control Lowering Springs fix that without turning a refined daily driver into something you dread on a rough road. We developed these springs through multiple rounds of track and street testing to land on a ride height and spring rate combination that changes how the car drives, not just how it looks. Ride height drops 21 mm (0.83 in) up front and 24 mm (0.94 in) out back, while spring rate climbs 45% front and 61% rear. The car rolls less, rotates more willingly on corner entry and stays composed through fast transitions, with ride quality that remains comfortable every day. Each spring is designed in house and made in the USA from high-tensile chrome silicon steel, finished in APR's signature red powder coat. They bolt in place of the factory springs, work with both DCC and non-DCC dampers and fit every 2022-2026 Golf R, including the 2025+ MK8.5. Add APR Lowering Bumpstops (SUS00025) for the complete package. Measured on US 2022 MK8 Golf R (DCC), Front: 365 mm (OEM) vs 344 mm (APR), a 21 mm reduction in CF height 220 lbs/in (OEM) vs 319 lbs/in (APR), a 45% increase in spring rate Measured on US 2022 MK8 Golf R (DCC), Rear: 367 mm (OEM) vs 343 mm (APR), a 24 mm reduction in CF height 278 lbs/in (OEM) vs 448 lbs/in (APR), a 61% increase in spring rate

Features:

  • Lowers the Golf R 21 mm (0.83 in) front and 24 mm (0.94 in) rear for a tighter wheel gap and a more aggressive stance
  • Increases spring rate 45% front (319 lbs/in) and 61% rear (448 lbs/in), the largest rear rate gain in the APR MQB spring lineup, to control body roll and help the AWD chassis rotate
  • Dual-rate front (183 to 319 lbs/in) and rear (327 to 448 lbs/in) springs operate as single-rate linear springs under normal driving loads
  • Track and street tested through multiple iterations to deliver real handling gains without a harsh, bouncy ride
  • Correct ride height pairing keeps the dampers working in their range so the car does not crash or bottom out
  • Direct plug-and-play replacement for the factory springs, works with DCC and non-DCC OEM dampers
  • Fits 2022-2026 VW Golf R, including the 2025+ MK8.5 refresh
  • High-tensile chrome silicon steel resists sagging and fatigue for long-term ride height consistency
  • Signature APR red powder coat protects against corrosion and road salt
  • Designed in house and made in the USA
  • Pair with APR Lowering Bumpstops (SUS00025) for maximum handling, performance and comfort
