Note: OBD2 protocols only work from the year 2008 onwards. For older vehicles, the CAN bus line is used instead! This display comes with an OBD II adapter cable. Thus, installation is plug and play, and all OBD 2 values output by the engine control unit (ECU) are displayed.
The CANchecked OBD2 displays work for a variety of vehicles and engines with OBD 2. If your OBD2 model does not work or does not display correct values, then your vehicle is not OBD2 capable, or the OBD2 protocol has not yet been implemented. However, within two working days, CANchecked can add the correct .tri file for your engine/car model. Contact us for more information.

What is CANchecked? CANchecked displays, gauges, software, and sensors enable the visual representation of important engine data, such as oil temperature, boost pressure, exhaust temperature, etc. This can be done either via OBD 2 (depending on the ECU values) or via additional analog sensors. Furthermore, functions such as Haldex control for GEN 1 and GEN 2 can be purchased additionally through licenses.

Performance Monitor

• The high-speed CAN integration allows you to access up to 128 vehicle sensors, which you can display in real-time. You can quickly swap sensors via the 2.8"/3.2" touchscreen and set up custom ranges and alerts with the DSS software.

Diagnostic Function

• Swipe down from any page to instantly diagnose the error memory. CANchecked can read, diagnose, and clear codes for engine, ABS, transmission, ESP, TPMS, and other systems.

Data Logging

• Easy access to the log when needed and storage on the internal SD card.

Plug & Play Installation

• CANchecked displays with vehicle-specific mounting frames are precision-made and integrate perfectly into your vehicle's interior without hindering the functionality of your vehicle's ventilation system.

Expandable Functionality

• 4 analog and 2 digital inputs allow monitoring of sensors and devices from other manufacturers. Future licenses, currently in development, will enable the integration of Haldex all-wheel drive controls, water-methanol injection systems, and ethanol fuel systems.

Customizable Screen Displays

• CANchecked comes with six pre-installed dashboards. A total of ten display pages can be customized using the supplied software and the library of widgets.

Your data, the way you want it!

• CANchecked can display up to ten pages and has access to up to 128 sensors in your vehicle. Use the touchscreen to navigate between pages and select which sensor you want to display. Need more customization options? You can personalize your views by individually customizing the graphics, sensors, and widgets using the supplied DSS software. We have already preloaded some examples on your CANchecked display to help you get started.

Connection and Expansion
Various sensors can be connected via the four analog inputs – we support both linear 0-5V and NTC sensors. Our in-house CANchecked sensors are standardly stored in the TRI-/TRX files and only need to be connected:

• AIN3: Pressure sensor 0-10 Bar (FLP01)

The display can be individually configured via the website. The dbc converter for the Can-Bus protocol and the online configurator for the widgets, which can also be set via the touch display.
The temperature range of the display is -10°C to 70°C.
A power supply of 12V is required, 5V or 24V are optionally possible.

FAQ

Does the display get hot in the ventilation shaft?

• No. The screens are always protected from heat flowing through the ventilation slots.

Does the ventilation nozzle work with the installed display?

• Yes, it does. We are constantly developing ventilation solutions where the airflow continues to flow past the display through special tunnels.

Can I change the appearance of the display, units, and scales?

• Yes! With the various setting options to upload your own graphics, you can customize your display.

Can I use analog inputs?

• Yes, there are 6 analog inputs. This allows you to read pressures, temperatures, etc. We can also put together complete packages for what you need!

What ECU data can CANchecked access?
By default, we deliver a pre-made TRI file with your display. All sensors queried are defined here, e.g.:

• Temperatures: exhaust temperature, engine water temperature, oil temperature, intake temperature, outside temperature, fuel temperature, DSG oil temperature
• Pressures: boost pressure, ambient pressure, fuel pressure, pre-supply pump pressure
• Lambda / Mixture: lambda value, injection timing, short-term lambda control, long-term lambda control
• Other: RPM, air mass (g/s), vehicle speed, throttle angle, total ignition angle, ignition angle reduction per cylinder, N75 pulse rate in %, voltage at terminal 30, oil level, torque, transmission...
• If values are missing, they can be easily added.

Can I customize the appearance of the boost pressure gauge to my vehicle?

• You can use the CANchecked Online Display Setup Software (DSS) to upload your own graphics. They must have the following format:
