A smart upgrade for all 981 models, especially cars driven on track by professionals and amateurs alike. These heat shields protect the ignition coil packs and wires from extreme radiant heat produced by the headers. Heat shields are necessary because all 981 cars have virtually no heat protection for the vulnerable ignition coils and we have seen many of customers who spend time on the track have their ignition coils fail due to heat damage. Ignition coils are $420 a set so this is cheap insurance to keep them safe. This is a bulletproof precision manufactured solution with a simple bolt-on installation and are a winning combination with our Fabspeed Boxster/Cayman Header options.
