The Kies Spindle Spreader tool is useful when it comes to suspension removal, especially when it comes to German-engineered OEM BMW suspension and other similarly made suspension/coilovers. The housing on the bottom end of the coilover, around the strut tube, is secured very tightly from factory. A safer and easier approach is offered with the spindle housing spreader tool, to avoid possible damage to the existing suspension housing and it's components.
The tool features a flat, thinner, oval-like top shape for easy insertion into the strut channel to spread the compression sleeve at the knuckle. It in turn, allows for safe expansion of the housing while also maintaining its structural integrity, making enough room for safe removal and installation of the strut insert.
