M-Engineering’s custom “Detonation Defense” mode reacts within 20 milliseconds to prevent damage during excessive knock events.
If knock levels exceed safe limits, the ECU automatically switches to Map Slot 5 for 10 seconds, reducing load and power to protect the engine. Once conditions stabilize, full performance returns automatically.
This feature ensures world-class performance with reliability — proven in racing, drag, and endurance testing environments.
