The MMX Performance BMW B58 / B57 Stainless Steel Oil Filter is a reusable high-flow replacement for the factory paper oil filter used in compatible BMW B58 3.0L petrol and B57 3.0L diesel engines. Designed to eliminate the potential for a conventional paper filter element to collapse or separate, the MMX stainless steel filter provides a durable long-term filtration solution for both road and performance applications.
At the core of the filter is a high-flow pleated stainless steel micronic mesh designed to capture contaminants down to 20 microns. Unlike a disposable paper element, the stainless steel construction maintains its structure throughout the service interval while providing consistent filtration and unrestricted oil circulation.
The MMX filter is engineered to provide up to five times greater oil flow than comparable paper filter elements. Increased flow helps support consistent oil circulation and lubrication throughout the engine, making the filter particularly well suited to modified B58 and B57 engines and vehicles exposed to demanding driving conditions.
Unlike a conventional disposable BMW oil filter, the MMX stainless steel element can be cleaned and reused at each oil service. When properly maintained, its reusable construction provides a long-term alternative to repeatedly replacing paper filter elements while eliminating paper filter material from the lubrication system.
The filter is compatible with the factory BMW oil filter housing as well as compatible MMX billet oil filter housing upgrades. Installation requires no permanent modification and replaces the original filter element within the housing.
