The MMX Performance M22x1.5 Differential Plug O-Ring Set is the replacement seal for the MMX magnetic differential drain plug, supplied five to a pack so there is always one on hand at the next fluid service.
The seal is what keeps the differential housing sealed at the plug. Heat cycling, fluid breakdown and repeated removal all take their toll: the material hardens, flattens and loses its elasticity, and a seal in that condition will eventually weep. Renewing it whenever the plug comes out is the simplest way to avoid that, and it costs almost nothing.
Each seal is made to match the original MMX component, so fitting is a direct swap with no modification. Remove the old seal, fit a new one, and torque the plug to the OE specification for your differential.
Five seals cover five services. The differential plug itself is not included.
