The MMX Front Control Arm Spherical Bearings replace the OEM rubber control arm bushings on F8X-chassis BMWs with a CNC-machined housing and motorsport-grade spherical bearing. The result is a front end that stops deflecting under hard braking, turn-in, and lateral cornering loads, the way the F8X chassis was meant to feel before time and heat softened the factory rubber.
Each housing is machined from anodised 7075 aluminium and paired with stainless steel spacers and a high-strength spherical (uniball) bearing. The bearing eliminates the rotational and angular play inherent in rubber bushings, holding front toe and camber stable under repeated braking events. A 3D-printed press tool is included in the kit to support the bearing through installation and prevent damage during the press operation.
On the road, drivers report sharper turn-in and a clearer line of communication between the steering wheel and the front contact patch. On track, the benefit is more pronounced, front toe stays stable through trail-braking and corner entry, tyre temperatures even out, and the chassis stops fighting the driver mid-corner. This is the same bearing assembly used on N55-engined F87 M2 and S55-engined M2 Competition, M2 CS, F80 M3, and F82/F83 M4, one part across the F8X family.
For F8X owners chasing a sharper, more predictable front end without changing control arm geometry, this is the foundation upgrade.
