The MMX Performance G8X Replacement Panel Air Filter Set is a washable cotton gauze filter pair developed specifically for the BMW S58, replacing the disposable paper panel filters in the factory airbox.
The S58 airbox takes two filters, one per bank, and both are supplied.
Because the filters are cotton gauze rather than paper, they are cleaned and re-oiled at service and refitted rather than discarded, which is where the long-term value sits on a car that will see many filter changes.
Fitment is to the factory airbox with no modification. MMX puts the installation at around ten minutes, and the car is just as easily returned to standard should you ever want to, since nothing is cut, drilled or permanently altered.
