The MMX 2-Piece 325mm Rear Rotor Conversion is a direct bolt-on rear-axle upgrade for MINI Gen 3 F55, F56, and F57 JCW models. Where the OEM rear disc is a small single-piece unit that struggles under repeated heavy braking, this conversion drops in a true 2-piece floating rotor, paired with a JCW-red caliper carrier bracket that repositions the OEM rear caliper outboard to suit the larger 325mm disc. The result is a meaningful step up in rear-axle braking capability without changing calipers or losing the OEM hand-brake function.
The friction ring is a proprietary high-carbon iron compound paired with a CNC-machined 6061-T6 aerospace-grade aluminium centre hat, connected by a floating bobbin system. That mount allows full thermal expansion as the rotor heats, eliminating warping and surface cracking. MMX's signature directional groove pattern is machined across the friction face for stronger initial bite and clean pad-rotor interface under load.
The kit ships complete, left- and right-handed rotors, floating bobbins pre-installed, the JCW-red anodised caliper carrier bracket, and all required fitting hardware. The OEM rear caliper is retained. OEM or aftermarket rear pads can be used. Match this to the MMR31-1410F front 335×30mm set for a complete F-chassis MINI brake refresh.
