The MMX Performance High Performance Ignition Coil is a full OE replacement for the factory coil pack, producing a 10% increase in output energy over the original for a stronger and more consistent spark.

The 10% figure is deliberate rather than conservative. A coil that generates much more than that runs hotter, and heat is what degrades a coil pack from the inside over time. MMX sets the increase at the point where the extra spark energy is still worth having but the internal temperature rise has not started to work against the coil's service life. Pushing output higher buys progressively less spark for progressively more heat.

That makes these coils as much a reliability part as a performance one. Factory coils weaken with age and heat cycling, and replacing a tired set restores ignition consistency whether the car is standard or tuned.

Installation is plug and play with no modification required. Remove the factory coil packs and fit the MMX units in their place. MMX advises applying dielectric grease around the rubber boot of the coil, which aids removal later and helps long-term reliability.

The coil cover is available in three anodized finishes, red, grey and blue. Coils are sold individually, so order the quantity your engine requires.
