S58 Flasher License

Required base license for flashing supported OTS or tuner-supplied custom files to one vehicle. Stage 1/Stage 2 maps and Logger License are sold separately. This license alone is not a supplied performance calibration.

ECU/DME unlock: Before ordering, run Check Support in the MG Flasher app and contact Kies Motorsports to confirm ECU compatibility, unlock requirements and any additional cost. A third-party bench unlock may be required. A separate compatible ECU unlock service must be added to the cart; qualifying MG Flasher Ultimate Package purchases (standalone Flasher Licenses excluded) can receive the matching eligible Kies unlock for $0 under the tune promotion. Contact Kies first to confirm exact ECU compatibility. Shipping both ways, removal/refitting, flashing adapters and installation labor are separate.

Open the full official MG Flasher user manual. Review the current instructions before connecting or flashing; the app and manufacturer instructions take precedence over this overview.

1. Check support first. Install the app, connect a compatible ENET Wi-Fi adapter and use Check Support to identify the vehicle, DME and available products. An engine badge alone is insufficient.
2. Arrange the correct license. Select the matching engine family. Contact Kies with your VIN and MG Flasher account information for assignment/redemption instructions. Licenses bind to one VIN; verify everything before redeeming.
3. Resolve ECU security. Complete any required compatible unlock before flashing. Contact Kies about the method and separate cost.
4. Prepare the vehicle. Follow the manufacturer preparation checklist, use a healthy charged battery with suitable charger, turn off electrical loads and remove incompatible piggybacks.
5. Connect and sync. Follow the connection guide for your device. Internet is needed for support checks, account sync and map downloads; a vehicle connection is needed for flashing and logging.
6. Flash the matching calibration. With the engine off and ignition set as instructed for your vehicle, choose the correct fuel, stage and hardware options. Do not disconnect or interrupt the process. Wait for app confirmation and follow its ignition-cycle instructions.
7. Review the result. Check diagnostics and record logs as appropriate. Obtain tuner review when hardware, fuel or calibration requires it. Logger-only purchases do not authorize flashing.
